The Bible
I believe the Bible is God’s love letter to the world. I hope you will take it to heart, because it was inspired by God and He loves you very much!
The Good News
God created us. He loves us and deserves our obedience. But we have sinned against Him by choosing not to obey Him. The Bible says, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). It doesn’t matter whether you are better or worse compared to other people, we have all sinned against God. And because God is just, He cannot simply overlook the fact that we have sinned. The Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). This means that the fair payment for our sin is death. It is the punishment that we deserve. But that is why God sent His only Son, Jesus. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16). Jesus took the punishment that we deserved. He lived a perfect sinless life, but He died in our place so we would not have to take that punishment. But Jesus did not remain dead. After three days, He rose from the dead (Mark 8:31). Jesus died for you. You can be saved by receiving Him into your heart. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12). He is waiting to forgive you. It doesn’t matter what you have done in the past, if you cry out to Him for forgiveness, He will not reject you. “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10).
